THE MEADOWS AT THE LEGACY CHASE

Shawan Downs is pleased to announce the addition of a destination area, The Meadows. Located just east of the race course and sponsored by The Piedmont Wine Trail, The Meadows offers close access to the races, the stables, the children's activities and the Legacy Chase vendors.

The Meadows replaces the former Shawan Parking and offers three parking choices.

The Meadows Premier, abutting the east side of the race course, offers an up close view of the races. Tailgate from the back of your car and watch the horses gallop by in your larger parking area - don't forget your pop-up tent! There are a limited number of these spaces and they will only be offered for sale prior to the race for $100.

The Meadows Middle encompasses the rows just behind The Meadows Premier spots. These spots offer a larger tailgating area with enough room for your pop-up tent with a quick walk to the course and are close to all the Meadows activities. These spots can be purchased prior to race day for $60 or for $65 at the gate the day of the race.

The Meadows General is east of the Meadows Middle, but still within a quick walk to the race course and all The Meadows activities. These spots can be purchased prior to race day for $30 or for $35 at the gate the day of the race.
